About Zach C-O

As a baby, Zach was never rocked to bed with a lullaby. It was always 90s grunge and rock radio hits: he was literally rocked to bed. At age 3, Zach learned to play music without a teacher and found ways to engage with pop and rock music every day of his life, whether through forming neighborhood bands with his friends, teaching himself a new instrument, or writing his own songs.

Now, as a singer-songwriter, producer, and audio engineer, Zach C-O aspires to create modern, radio hits that are rooted in his early inspirations: Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, and Jack Johnson. Zach utilizes his multi-instrumentalism and technical knowledge to perform and fully self-produce his own music as well as help others make records and achieve their artistic vision. As an alt-pop singer-songwriter and performer, Zach explores the social uncertainties, external pressures, and self-discoveries of being a college student or young adult starting a new chapter. His acoustic ballads and upbeat anthems alike are intimate and vulnerable, aiming to deeply resonate with his listeners.

As a producer and audio engineer, Zach works closely with artists to transform the idea in their head to sound waves vibrating through your car speakers. He takes both technical and psychological approaches to bring out the raw emotion in the artist’s performance and sonic nature of the record, always staying true to their vision. From building and operating a home studio with his Dad at age 11, to receiving the Don Puluse award from Berklee’s Music Production and Engineering program, Zach has always strived to make great records that would honor the ones that used to rock him to bed.
